How can we make bank entry in book directly from bank reconciliation?

When you are doing bank reconciliation few of entries are not made in bank book, then you no need to go payment screen and bank entry screen to make entry. You can direct made it from bank reconciliation.
 
Open that bank transaction entry from bank reconciliation, you can see ACTION button. Click on that ACTION button, you will see multiple option to do direct entries,
1. New Payment/Collection - It will use when you want to make bank entries for Customer or Vendor. (RECEIPT/PAYMENT ENTRY)
2. Book As Bank Charges - It will use for Transaction Bank Charges (Taxable/Non-Taxable Both) which is deducted against any transaction made and separate entry in bank statement.
3. New Forex Payment - It will use when you want to make forex bank entries for Customer or Vendor. (FOREX RECEIPT/PAYMENT ENTRY)
4. New Bank/Contra Entry - It will use to make bank entry with other expenses or other collection, and also use contra entry option for Bank to Bank, Bank to Cash or Cash to Bank entry.
(Note: New Internal Transfer is used for contra entry but we recommended to use New Bank/Contra Entry for that)

1. New Payment/Collection Entry
When you click on New Payment/Collection, It will open the dialog box where you can fill the required details like Posting Branch, Receive Branch, Party, Mode of Payment.

After clicking on Submit, It will redirect screen on payment entry form will fill all the details. You do not required to enter date, bank, customer, amount, reference etc again. Just select the invoices in reference grid if you want to and click on Save and Submit.

After submit that payment entry, not required to do reconcile that entry with bank statement again as it is directly reconcile.
 
2. Book as Bank Charge
When you click on Book as Bank Charge, it will open the dialog box where you can fill the required details like Posting Branch, Receive Branch, Party, Mode of Payment.

After click on Submit, it will redirect your screen to on purchase invoice form with pre-fill bank as supplier, date, sub nature as Bank Expense, bank address etc,

Bank Reference Number from statement will pre-fill in Supplier Invoice No. If reference no. is not set and not pre-fill then you must entry the reference/transaction number in supplier invoice no.

After there is two item pre-filled 1. Bank charge non-taxable and 2. Bank charge taxable.
  • If bank charge are taxable with GST amount then remove “Bank charge non-taxable” item from list and enter bank charges in “Bank charge taxable”. GST will calculated automatically based on tax rate.
  • If bank charge are non-taxable then remove “Bank charge taxable” item from list and enter bank charges in “Bank charge non-taxable”.

After Save and Submit of that invoice, that payment entry will saved as PAID and also not required to do reconcile that entry with bank statement again as it is directly reconcile.
 
Here for GST related entries in bank statement, you can reconcile that with this created bank charge purchase invoice.
 
3. New forex entry
Same as New Payment/Collection Entry, you can make forex entry. Select New Forex Payment option, it will open dialog box where you can fill the required details like Posting Branch, Party, Mode of Payment, Payment Currency with Exchange Rate

After click on Submit, it will redirect screen on forex payment entry form will fill all the details. You will not be required to enter date, bank, customer, payment currency, exchange rate, amount, reference etc again. Just select the invoices in reference grid if you want and click on Save and Submit.
 
After submit that payment entry, not required to do reconcile that entry with bank statement again as it is directly reconcile.
 
4. New bank/contra entry
Click on New Bank/Contra Entry option, It will open dialog box where you can select the entity type either Bank Entry or Contra Entry.

Select Bank Entry and mode of payment and click on submit, it will open bank entry screen with bind all the details.
Just Add Row and select your ledger where you want to debit/credit the amount.
After save and submit, not required to do reconcile that entry with bank statement again as it is directly reconcile.

Select Contra Entry and mode of payment and click on submit, it will open contra entry screen with bind all the details.
Just add Row and select your bank/cash ledger where you want to debit/credit the amount.
After save and submit, not required to do reconcile that entry with bank statement again as it is directly reconcile.
